I have 4 RAM heatsinks that came with the Vantec VGA cooler I put on my 9800. I have 8 RAM chips onboard, 4 on both sides. Should I put them on the bottom (Along with the new HSF) or on top where could could take advantage of the 2 case fans blowing air out? Or should I even bother? I read somewhere that RAM heatsinks are pretty much useless.
I put some Tweakmonster BGA RAMsinks on the upper side memory on my 9700Pro. Even with the cold air coming over the card from outside (sub 0C) I get no more out of my memory than I did with no ramsinks at normal human being ambient temps (I get quite a bit more out of the core). Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the feedback Keto. Since theres more air moving up top, that's where i put them.. and they don't make a whack of difference. Seems my cat thinks it's a great time to play with molex connectors just as I'm applying thermal tape. I just about killed him.
