View Full Version : Gmail + Firefox = crash?

I've repeatedly had problems with Gmail crashing Firefox during the last few days when I navigate away from it, both at home and at work (version 2.0.0.11). Anyone else seeing this?

Just 10 minutes ago I navigated to Gmail in Firefox. No problem.

I use FF at home and work, and gmail is always open on one tab. Never crashed.

The funny thing is, I can't replicate it on purpose. Of the 30+ times I've had it open it's only crashed like 4. Maybe it's connected to switching between accounts or having Firebug installed... too many variables :-/

I think I figured it out: it crashes if I open an e-mail and then navigate to another page with the e-mail still open. Fail :(


//edit: It's a bug in Firefox (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=400618) that is tripped by Firebug (http://groups.google.com/group/firebug/web/faq-about-firebug). Damn. :-/ It lists a workaround, but the setting it says to change is already set that way for me. Guess I just gotta deal with it crashing. Yippee.
