Testing the Phenom 9600 Black Edition (http://www.amdzone.com/amdzone/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=9413&Itemid=29) against its other AMD brothers.

For $200, this really doesn't seem like a bad move for someone like me - I have a socket AM2 motherboard with a 5000+. The benchmarks, even with the TLB errata patch turned on, pretty much pwn my 5000+ with the exception of Crysis CPU tests. With the TLB errata patch off, it smokes my 5000+ in all tests.
The TLB errata is pretty obscure, it has to do with virtualization from what I've read, and would only be seen by someone using hardware VMs.
I'm really thinking that the Phenom 9600BE is a worthy upgrade from a 5000+.

Some of the post-TLB errata fix numbers don't look too pretty, but you're right; it beats the hell out of the 5000+
