When I first read the news about AOL pulling the plug on Netscape, my immediate thought was that only about 12 people will actually notice. Netscape died a long time ago. What's happening now, IMO is just the burial.

They were actually a large social networking site like digg is now, AFAIK. Netscapers hate diggers as much as redditers do.
