No you don't. The country has been paved into a giant parking lot covered in fat people, McDonald's, Ford F150s and rap music. Stay away!

Shwaip, I've been to Boston twice. Each time I really enjoyed. Very fun place to visit. A lot of good food there, too.

I disagree entirely, even on a non-cynical level.

Come to Athens Ohio where there is nothing but a walmart, movie theatre, random "generic" stores, weird town-folk, and a mid sized-college!

Pretty sure Keebs can agree with me here:

Are you sure you're not in Huntingdon, PA?

I grew up 20 miles south of Boston.

If you have time, take the "self-tour" of the Freedom Trail. The trail is marked out in cobblestones on the street, and you get a map that tells you key points along the way. Very Cool. Getting around Boston is MUCH easier now that the Big Dig is over.

The U.S.S. Constitution is right in the heart of the down town waterfront.

Food:

Seafood: Legal Seafood or No Name Restaurant. East Coast Grill in Cambridge is very good too.

Italian: Vinny T's, or Terramia

Vinny T's is my personal fave. The atmostphere is warm and cheery. PLEASE DO NOT GO UNLESS YOU'RE HUNGRY!!! LOL! They bring out huge baskets of fresh Italian bread to munch on(get the olive oil roasted garlic clove to spread on it - spreads like butter! - YUMMO!!!) while you wait for your appetizer or entree. Be careful though, the portions are HUGE!! Dessert should be the one and only Chocolate Bomba Cake - my wife almost needs some time alone while she eats this cake!!!
