<p>Although widely reported as in recession, the US has has the best two quarters in the last two years in PC shipments. While the US was slow in holiday retail sales, and mortgage worries continue to keep Wall Street down, US sales of PCs, and technology spending in general, have been up more in the last 6 months than in the last two years.</p>
<p>Combined with the report of stellar earnings from Intel, the technology industry as a whole seems to be doing very well, despite falling slightly short of predictive estimates made by industry analysts.</p>
