Having trouble with faux-GPS on your Jailbroken 1.1.3 iPhone?:<br>
It appears as though someone wrote a neat little application to fix (http://lifehacker.com/349314/enable-faux+gps-feature-in-jailbroken-113-iphone) just that sort of problem! The touch of a switch should set you right as rain.

AMD dumps 'Dozer for Phenom-based Fusion:<br>
AMD has changed their roadmap for the GPU+CPU chip known as "Fusion" several times already. At this point, it's pure speculation that AMD's most recent decision to put Fusion on a Phenom chassis will stick (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080126-amd-ditches-dozer-taps-phenom-for-cpugpu-fusion-edit.html). But it's good to know, nevertheless, that AMD is moving along.

Windows 7 M1 code milestone torrented:<br>
The hype for Windows 7 has already started. As we reported a few days ago, Microsoft recently shipped a benchmark code release of their next version of Windows to vendors. Known as "M1" it's a significant step in the development of this operating system. The code release will allow early evaluations, and the beginning of driver design for the would-be OS. It seems that a full DVD image of the OS is making its rounds (http://www.neowin.net/news/main/08/01/26/windows-7-m1-build-shows-up-on-various-torrent-sites) on Torrent sites; according to Neowin who has tested it legitimately, it appears to be touchy but stable.

Google stunts domain-tasting:<br>
When you sign up for Google's adsense program, you have a couple days to opt out with no hassle. This grace period allows for the correction of various registration errors. Unscrupulous firms, however, have rapidly registered domain names with adsense, and then kept only the ones that generate significant money, with content on the page or no. Yahoo! prevents this already, and Google is getting on board. (http://www.neowin.net/news/main/08/01/26/google-fights-domain-name-tasting)

benchmark codeI seen a benchmark at home and even in the wild. I seen me code once or a couple times, but I ain't never seen me no benchmark code.

What is a "benchmark code?"

It's a milestone release. All official code releases thereafter have to, at least, meet the standard set in the prior release. It is, therefore, a benchmark.
