Hey, guys, this is totally baffling me. 3 WUs in a row I've received 2605s. No big deal. Only problem is:

Project: 2605 (Run 9, Clone 394, Gen 25)
[21:43:51] Completed 275000 out of 500000 steps (55 percent)
[21:51:57] Writing local files
[21:51:58] Completed 280000 out of 500000 steps (56 percent)
[22:00:02] Writing local files
~8 minute frames

Project: 2605 (Run 16, Clone 429, Gen 26)
[15:11:17] Completed 195000 out of 500000 steps (39 percent)
[15:28:43] Writing local files
[15:28:43] Completed 200000 out of 500000 steps (40 percent)
[15:46:17] Writing local files
~17 minute frames

Project: 2605 (Run 12, Clone 245, Gen 26)
[09:00:33] Completed 0 out of 500000 steps (0 percent)

Folding@Home Client Shutdown.
[09:15:16] 00 steps (0 percent)
[09:30:08] Writing local files
[09:30:08] Completed 5000 out of 500000 steps (1 percent)
Somewhat less than 30 minute frames accounting for the short time I used restarting the client

On that third one, I noticed the step was taking so long to complete I first quit the client and restarted it, and then restarted the whole computer after this 1 percent finished. The main problem is simply that all the sudden my frame times are skyrocketing, and I have no idea why. They're all 2605s, nothing different, and I just can't tell anything. :/

Any ideas? I'll update in the morning with the results of the restart. Thanks.

btw, this is a Q66@3.6GHz, it should be screaming through these at like 8-10 minutes a frame, which is why I noticed how slowly it was going.

Mine's taking forever too, although I don't know enough about F@H to be able to post any of that information :P

I haven't received one of those WU's yet. I've been getting the 2653's only.

It's been working on the same WU for 2 days *including today* and it's at 47%

mj i would check what other processes are running as that is not right for the SMP client.

After a restart, it's back to its normal 8 minutes/frame. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on this.

It sounds to me like you've got CPU throttling enabled in the BIOS.

Come on, Leo, you know me better than that. First thing I ever do is turn that junk off.

I've accidentally left that stuff on before during overclocking sessions after having reset the BIOS. Then later wondered why things weren't responding as usual.

Hello, I'm back with yet more folding problems :D I'm currently at 27WUs and 8229 points, completed another WU, which took roughly another 26 hours of folding, and I got 15 points for it.. Erm...?

All of you having this issue are using the Win or the Linux client?

Mine was actually the OSX client, and resolved itself with a restart. Consider my issues complete. Don't know anything about Haru's issue, sadly.

I had this issue with Win SMP client randomly and a restart of the client fixed the issue. In linux, it hasnt happened even once.

that is very slow haru x2 3800 is 2 mins a frame on p 4400's and have knowledge of an oced e4500 doing it in 1 min a frame.
