I got an install bar for AVsystemcare come up on my desktop trying to install itself. I realised it was something nasty and cut my internet connection thus stopping the installation at about 75%.
Although it doesnt seem to have fully installed I get registry error messages when starting the PC and after a while it crashes with an error message after getting very slow.
I can not use many of my programs any more and this includes not being able to re-establishing my internet connection via Netgear.
I have a couple of icons appear on my desktop (windows update & help and support center) which try and take me to a site called storageprotector.com unsuccessfully (no internet). These both reappear if deleted
All methods Ive found to remove the malware seem to involve downloading a program which i cannot do (no internet).
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? It seems to have not downloaded and installed itself fully but still managed to damage my PC.
