Think twice before hooking up that new digital photo frame to your Windows computer. A slick new password-stealing trojan virus appears to be shipping on some models.

The virus's origins has been tracked to China, purportedly well-funded professionals. It is designed to be stealthy and cannot presently be detected by antivirus software. While it's currently only stealing passwords, it seems it has much greater potential. One security expert called it a potential "nuclear bomb" of malware.

Except for about 13 people buy those stupid photo frames...Actually, they are becoming very, very popular: gifts to elderly family members who want pictures but are computer illiterate, people at work who are not allowed to upload images, et cetera. I have actually considered buying one for my parents. My dad prints photos from his camera's memory card at Wal Mart and then formats the card without downloading to a computer. He doesn't know how and will not learn.

They're so tacky. :\I agree. They need to get larger, lose the stupid looking frames, and get thinner.

Agreed. *Looks at himself in his mother's digital picture frame across the room*

The market obviously disagrees with some of us here. Those digital pictures frames sell like crazy - computer stores, big box stores, electronics stores, even from overpriced, mediocre department stores. They're everywhere and don't get dusty on the shelves.

Heh, grocery stores here have them... Longs, Vons etc all have digital picture frames and even with the hideous markup still sell like hotcakes.
