View Full Version : Legendary Hot Rod Builder, Boyd Coddington Dead @ 63
His shop is not even five miles from my house. I drive past it daily on the way to the gym. I was never a big fan of his way of doing business, but he did make some nice cars.

He built a 1957 Chevy for us (O'Reilly Auto Parts) that we either recently gave away or are giving away soon. I don't recall when the drawing is/was. I believe I heard it was about a $350,000 investment to build the car.
With Boyd's passing, and Overhaulin' being canceled, I'm gonna be Jonesing for a good car show now!

I have to respect anyone who actually made a living doing what I would love to do.
Hat's off to you, Boyd! RIP.

Top Gear rules! Can't you get one of those programs that you can watch TV over the internet?
