I want to hear what your guys top 3 cars of all time would be. What cars would you give a kidney/left nut/first born for?
Here are mine
1969 Dodge Charger 500 with 426(7.0 L) Hemi. Only 67 Charger 500s were built with the Hemi.
http://www.carmemories.com/images/dbimages/1718.jpg
1970 Plymouth Barracuda. With the 440-6 or 426 Hemi. The straight-line performance from regular production Barracudas became legendary. The 1/4 mile times for were in the vicinity of 13.7 seconds @ 103 mph to 13.4 s @ 108 mph (174 km/h) - both among the fastest times of the day.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f8/'70_Plymouth_Barracuda.jpg/800px-'70_Plymouth_Barracuda.jpg
2008 Audi R8. 4.2 L FSI V8 developing 420 PS (414 hp/309 kW) Top speed 187 mph (301 km/h) 0-60 mph (96 km/h) 4.6 seconds. That is all.

I hate when the list gets narrowed to just 3, but here goes. These are the top 3 vintage cars I could live with.
'71-'74 Toyota MS75 Crown Coupe
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2192/2247607824_5586234a78.jpg?v=0
I love the strange styling, and the car presents a great platform for a restomod GT. It's certainly unique.
'71-'74 BMW 3.0 CS
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/183/432280066_ef085e50f3.jpg?v=0
I love the style of the shark nose Bimmers. They're classy and refined but sporting and could make a sweet daily driver.
VW Split-window single or double cab transporter
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/192/486627365_60216c733b.jpg?v=0
I don't know enought about these, but I love the look. It'd be a perfect excuse to build a VW motor. I've always wanted to build an E85 fueled turbo flat-4.

Will add pics later:
'70 Chevelle SS. Secsy styling, 454 Chevy big block. Need I say more?
'70 'Cuda. Yeah, FC said it already. 440 Six Pack or 426 Hemi.
'66 Plymouth Belvedere GTX. A wolf in sheep's clothing. Also came with Chrysler's venerable 440, but 720 intrepid buyers bucked up for the legendary 426 Hemi. Precursor to the all-performance, stripped-down Roadrunner.

Only three? This is difficult, but here goes!
#1 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda. My father had a 440+6 before I was born and I really hope I was conceived in that car.

#2 1957 Chrylser 300C Convertible.

#3 Mercedes 300SL

ROFL! I've never wished I was conceived in any particular situation.

Having been in one of those (thank you Macclesfield Audi!).. I can tell you this. You made a good choice because it's an EPIC car!
Not really a gotta have it...because I do have it. I bought it in 1979 for $500 did a ground up restoration and still have it. It still looks great , I had it to the track about 2 years ago and it still turns in low 12's Good old American Muscle !
1969 American Motors AMX ( 2 seater )
390 cubic inch ( not a Ford motor )
2 600 Holley double pumpers on a factory cross ram manifold
Borg & Warner T-10 4 speed
Dana rear end 4.10:1
The AMX is very rare only 19,000 were made over 3 model years with the 69 being the most prolific. I think there were 12,000 69's

First would be a 1970 Chevelle LS6. Always been a fan of the Chevelle and this is probably one of the best options. Amazing power and rarity too.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/Dargo5/Driver_small.jpg
Next would be the upcoming ZR1 Corvette. From what I've been reading this is one of the best vettes ever made (they have actually been good lately) and this is going to be some type of landmark in history.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/Dargo5/2009CorvetteZR1Official.jpg
Last would be a 1940 Willys. I've seen some amazing things done with these cars, and it looks sweet even when it isn't modded.

There are a lot of 'vintage' cars that I like, but having driven a few (Torino, Cuda, Mustang) and having gotten in some tight spots (lucky to be alive) I have some rules.
If I am really going to drive it it will have 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, fuel injection (not a Spica mechanical), and air bags.
For old cars, I have to admit that it is based more on sex than speed.
'61 Aston Martin DB4 Zagato
'56 ThunderBird
'55 300SL Gull Winged Mercedes
My three modern cars that I would actually drive:
Subaru WRX STi (with real snow tires)
a new Ford GT (rode in an old one, not fit for humans)
Aston Martin DB9 ( the V12 is a must)
Gnome Queen

I really know very, very little about cars, but here are my picks anyways:
1969 GTO Convertible- There is actually a good chance I'll get the 1970 GTO converible from my dad someday, but I think I like the 1969 just a smidge more- I couldn't find any good pictures of the 1969 convertible on google that I liked, so here's the non convertible- I think it also lacks the hideaway headlights that signified the 1968 and 1969 GTO's, but what are you going to do.
http://classicmusclecarsandmore.com/images/1969%20GTO%20Judge/1969%20GTO%20Judge.jpg
Then, as some other people have already put here, the Transformers Camaro
http://cache.jalopnik.com/cars/assets/resources/2007/10/BumblebeeCamaroConcept.jpg
And for the last spot, it's a really close tie between the Enzo Ferrari and the Bugatti Veyron, but the Veyron just looks cooler.
