Is it any good? Don't like the fact it uses one of my cores, would I be better running 1xSMP client rather than 1 GPU and 1 standard CPU?

if your system is a core 2 duo or a faster dual core AMD, you're better off running the SMP. If it's a faster Core 2 Duo, you're even better off running the F@H Affinity changer and 2 SMP installs.
