View Full Version : What to bring - logistics

25 ft Ethernet cable MINIMUM
Power strip - you get one plug, so make sure you have enough outlets from there.
Sleeping stuff - fliers get floor space inside, drivers should tent if possible. Drivers MUST have their own padding/blankets/sheets/pillow.
Towel - DON'T leave it in the bathroom! Use the rack in the basement or find a chair to hang it on.
Drinks - I suggest bringing more than just beer. :p

Something to break up the hours of sitting behind a computer, sitting on a couch, sitting on a chair is nice. There is a beautiful disk golf course like 10 minutes away. If enough people are into this maybe we could make an event of it.

I will personally bitch slap anybody caught not wearing deodorant; you can't smell your own stink, but the rest of us can.

Good call! I brought $120 for food last year and it was all spent by the end of the weekend! This year I'm planning at least $160.

Ok, this may sound odd to some people, but I believe this is a legitimate question...
In North Florida during late June, the temps range from 95-100F during the day and 80-90F at night. What is the weather like in Michigan at that time of year? What level of clothing should we bring? I kind of need to know now before we put our "cold" weather clothes away until next December (most people put their winter clothing away a month ago, I'm just lazy). Hell, its 85F here right now and its supposed to be 90F tomorrow.

Check out some of the LAN pics from past years.
Most everyone is in shorts most of the time...bring some kind of sweatshirt, it may get cool in the evening 1 or two nights. 1 pair of jeans just in case as well. Other than that... June in Michigan can be a lot like Florida.

Every year so far it's been really nice durring the day and freeking freezing at night.

I wouldn't go so far as to say "FREEZING". It can get down into the 50s at night. Some summers are hotter than others. I recommend a spring jacket / sweatshirt and a long pair of pants

Well, us Floridians can drink, but we drink to cool off, not to stay warm, so I will probably still need at least a hoody and closed toed shoes at night by the sounds of it.

Yeah, late-night patio-sitting requires no less sometimes.

You don't sleep outside... that's when it starts to get cold.

Including the part about MASSIVE HUMIDITY amirite?
or is that just Northern Indiana that get's that fun bag?

Yes, it gets humid up there in Michigan...
I think, however, you've confused the definition of "fun bag" somewhere along the line. ;)

Don't even start with humidity. The Gulf of Mexico usually has a surface temp of around 90F during the summer, its not a true North Florida day unless it feels like you are breathing water.
