Bad Corsair? (dead memory?)

Alright, think my stick of Corsair is dead. :banghead:

I would rather get it working than RMA it, since that's such a pain in the ass.

Is there anything I need to do for an NF7-S out of the box to be able to run a stick of XMS 2700C2? (2 - 2 - 2 - 6 on Corsair's site) I tried it with a clean BIOS, and the board won't post. I stick in a piece of PNY 2700 (512MB) and it works wonderfully. Blah :scratch:

There, There . . . I could be mistaken. :)

Tex's friend helped him repair an HD that went south by finding some tiny thing and then soldering on a new one. Maybe Tex's friend could tell you how to solder on a new whatever to make the RAM work again, but I doubt it.

I wouldn't waste my time/effort. RMA it.

Corsair has a full lifetime warranty and they'll happily replace it for you so I'd just RMA it as well.
Actually I just RMA'd my PC3700 and I'm waiting for it to come back now.
