help! my games wont work

Something weird has happened to my pc and i dont no whats up! Games like Counterstrike and Warcraft 3 work but games that i downloaded off the internet like cabal and flyff dont work! whats wrong? i double click the icon on the desktop and the start up box pops out. But on cabal the "start" button doesn't work and on flyff a message appears dat says "A connection with the server could not be established" I think it has something to do with my firewall and so i tinkered around wit my McAfee but still no change.:( can someone please help me?:confused: I have a Dell XPS 410 if it matters.

Oh and my internet explorer doesnt work either!!! i think these 2 are connected. weird becuz my firefox works...

I had the same error with Cabal when my wireless internet wouldn't connect or was on a very slow speed like 1mbps. Which OS are you running?

Have you tried going to Tools, Internet options, connections tab- what are your LAN settings?

There's a tab that says "LAN settings" :tongue: Which boxes are ticked/unticked?

ok in the top, the box dat is ticked is "automatically detect settings" and on the bottom is "use a proxy server for ur lan" and "bypass proxy server for local addresses"
