The article doesn't clarify what it means for a piece of software to be 'forked'? does that mean it's going out of business or something?

It means that there will now be separate versions of code with and without the textbox code.

I was wondering where the hell the option was for that... NOW I know it was a "feature" instead of a setting. Great one Pidgin.... :(

Same here... I was pretty pissed trying to click and drag the window at various places.
