Drive E: does not show/appear

my CD/DVD drive, dunno, cant be detected or what. it was just awhile that i decided to watch a movie, but when popping in the DVD, closed it, i saw the green light in the reader light and blinked. i thought it was already reading the CD, and when i opened media player 11, whoah, the open CD/DVD were shaded white. when i opened my computer, no drive E: would be expecting replies thanks.

Are you running vista or xp.

i am running windows XP sp2


uhhhh, it just came back after for about 4 hours. errr, even it is back, what are the possible costs of this?

I had a crimping issue with a IDE cable on my HDD, open it and make sure your cable is in no tight spots.

ah yes. its kinda sandwiched with the HDD cables and the GPU. that maybe caused the problem XD.
