So anyone getting excited for this game? If you haven't seen/heard anything about it, link (http://www.ageofconan.com/). I'm planning on getting it within a week or two after launch. If anyone else is getting it we should try to get on the same server.

Some of my friends on the beta, it looks pretty cool. Just for a fair warning they had to download a 8-12gig patch before they got to play. Hopefully they have that on the retail DVD for when it comes out.

I was pretty stoked for Warhammer too. I was considering playing it but they kept putting it off, and I won't really have time for an MMO except during the summer.
Plus I'm holding out for the Warhammer 40k MMO.

So I started the preorder last night. Good times, but I was unable to get onto the server Deathwisper. I started on Doomsayer.

Looks pretty good and seems nice and stable. Only plowed through the jungle with a cute priest to level 5 which was incredible easy. Basically one-shotted everything with a lightning strike. Jungle graphics looks good so far. 8800GT equalivent card and dual core cpu is the perfect budget-setup for this game.

Have bought the colector's edition and the early access as well. But the prob is that my graphics card is crap. the game is lagging a bit while playing, though i have set every setting on low. my m8 is playing as well on his new pc and the graphics are really nice. was so impressed of the 3d-effect. imo its much better than wow and im looking forward to lvl up soon.

My question is: any suggestions which graphic card to buy?? im not willing to buy a a too expensive one. already bought 1 extra GB ram, but the game is still too crappy to play. or is it maybe better to upgrade my processor?

pc info: AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core processor 3800+ 2.00 GHz 3GB - nvidia geforce 7300 LE

I play on a Ati 3870 card and the Nvidia Equalivent is a 8800GT. I play at 1900X1200 and things are very smooth with a dual core cpu and 2gb of ram. This game will require more when they go live with the full DX10 support in a few months so get yourself a 8800GT or 3870.

I got told that you need two 9800GX2s in SLi to run it. In return I told him where to get off :tongue: I think a high end system now will be ok-good at running it, although to run full details you probably need to be looking at Quads/9#00 series cards.

producer = Mythic, they made dark age of camelot, a game that redefined PvP, and WAR is adding on to the leet DAoC formula with more epic PvP, which is why im already assembling a guild for WAR

Yeah, but EA has a habit of putting out games that are barely out of Alpha just so they can make some money, then patching the hell of out of them over the following few months until the game is somewhat playable.

No thanks, I've had enough of EA, especially when it comes to computer games.

BTW, did they add the nudity toggle? ive got friends with parents that are like OMG SINNER whever half a boob shows up anywhere, and it could really hinder weather or not i buy it. (my computer is in the same room as my mom's)

Haven't heard they have done that in the EU version at least, but i could imagine it is needed in the U.S version.

This game is great. I have a 34 Demo on Bluesteel. The PvP can be brutal at times but I love it.

Pre ordered it, subscribed 3 days in advance and downloaded the game and all patches, rolled a Guardian and played to level 20 before I quit.
