Hai guys,

Yeah, that's right- A serious post

Some of you may or may not have heard of the net neutrality issue, how it's progressing or of the group I'm going to show you. Net Neutrality is the ability to be whoever you want on the Internet, total freedom to go whereever you want, talk with who you want, upload all the crap you want to upload and pretty much do your every day stuff. Soon that will not be the case; Almost all major ISPs have agreed, signed contracts etc to commercialise the internet (more so than they have now).

It's basically going to be like television, you pay for certain channels and if you want more it's going to cost extra. This means that smaller websites WILL be shut down, and everyone will basically be forced to visit the larger websites that pay larger fees to their ISP.

I Power is a social network that has been very strong against net neutrality and they explain it alot better than I do, here's (http://ipower.ning.com/crewvideos?vid=13) the most informative video (I think) that they have, with links to more videos that reveal new information as time has passed.

My hope is that we can get members of Icrontic to support this cause, spread the word, be active, do something about it and prevent this from happening.

I understand that alot of you may know this already, may think it's hopless, or simply don't care. If you do I really don't want to hear about it, this post is for people that do care and trolling/flaming/demeaning this thread is really not going to help anyone.

Thank you.

EDIT: ignoring possible events of clevage may be difficult...
