I found this little guy stuck in the pump today. A few things make my weird-meter go off:

1) Every fish in this pond was dead a few months ago until Matt and I restocked it with Koi, Shubunkin, and goldfish.

2) This doesn't look at all like one of those three to me

3) Silver

4) A weird "snout"

Any ideas?

Somebody had babies.. its mutant

Seriously.. can't help, it does look like some type of carp or other local fish and the snout could be just a deformity or mutation from the radioactivity from the ICHQ powerplant ;D

Surprisingly you can get fish that are not indigenous from birds etc that come from other bodies of water. The eggs get carried from place to place.

Deformed gold fish. You've got to name him Rupert.

Maybe the snout is what got stuck.

Maybe the snout is what got stuck. That's what I was thinking. Either that or it's a shark.

Maybe this is what happens when fish drink while pregnant. Not that anyone at the IC lan would have poured beer into the pond.... *cough*

It's clearly an orca.

Doesn't really look like any goldfish that I've seen.

All three fish you put in there are varieties of carp, and that thing you caught sure looks like a baby carp to me. I think your fish are breeding right under your nose. Shubunkin babies don't turn colored right away, so that would explain the silver. The snout was probably caused by the pump, like Keebler said. I'll bet you have other things like that swimming around in your pond, and in a few years, you'll have some new interesting fish.

1) Every fish in this pond was dead a few months ago ...

That wasn't right after a LAN party was it? Was the water kind of yellowish???

lol no, that was right after the horrible dark, way-colder-and-longer-than-normal winter.
