Icrontic member Sonorous came up with a brilliant idea last night:

"So there was this motherboard screw that was impossible to screw back in once the motherboard was in place (you all know the one), and I have been trying to come up with a way to easily get the screw, and the screwdriver down in that area with out dropping the screw. And then it hit me:

I took an anti-static bag and cut a small X in it just big enough to fit the shaft of the screw in, seated the screwdriver on the head of the screw and then created tension with the bag so I could get the screw in the right spot. It worked perfectly."

He took some pics to illustrate his point:

Hey, I like that! You can also put a tiny amount of glue in the recess of the screw head, and long needlenose pliers work well too to set the screw before lowering the screwdriver tip.

Of course, an LED headband makes almost any interior computer MUCH easier.

I have always found a tiny piece of Prestik applied to the tip of the screwdriver works perfectly every time.

Prestik? Is that like Blu Tack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-tack)?

I use a LOOONG magnetic screwdriver. works like a champ.

Home Depot has the black handled pre magentized ones, but with regular magnet you can make just about any one magnetic.

Just my opinion,... I could be wrong....
