We've survived a great deal together these last years, but there is no other place I'd rather endure. Here's a hopeful toast to more, to better.

He was never out.

I don't wanna hear any, "I lost my finger to a firework" stories alright?

Have a safe and happy 4th!

Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th!!! I'm posting this from the middle of Lake St. Mary's in Celina, OH. We're just waiting for the fireworks to start.

I'm sitting around our fire pit cooking hot dogs and getting ready to make s'mores. Got a box of fireworks ready to light, and all my friends and family are here. It's gonna be a good time. Happy 4th of July everyone.

Just returned from watching the Macy's fireworks in NYC. Was a little wet but really nice. Happy birthday, America! You look great for a 232 year old. :)

Yeah but, well, erm, it was like, no, no, hold on, erm, hmmmm.
Well I can see no reason you would celebrate it, wish you could turn the clock back perhaps eh?, but have a good day ya'll.
(is that right Shorty, that's how they talk isn't it?)

I had to work most the day yesterday as well. Someone has got to put on the news that no one is watching the evening of the 4th!

But I got to see Wall-E again, so that made it worth while.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th!!! I'm posting this from the middle of Lake St. Mary's in Celina, OH. We're just waiting for the fireworks to start.

Ah yes, I've been there many times. My colleagues and I used to stop there on our way to wright-patterson AFB when we were in college. We loved stopping there and just taking it easy by the lake.

Bottle rockets FTW :)
Coincidentally that was my bottle rocket-launching vessel of choice as well, 8 of them lined up in a row.

I put a dozen of them at a time into the same bottle instead... :/

For the past three years, I've spent the evening of the 4th trying to comfort my dog, who is absolutely terrified of fireworks. My neighbors are very good about violating the township ordinances and state law, all the way up until 3 AM.

I was a little crabby.

I've noticed that there seems to be no enforcement of noise or fireworks ordinances on that particular evening of the year... Most people are glad of it... :/

Oh, I'm sorry. I meant, "America, **** yeah! Let's blow some **** up!"

Also, we did get cited once for a violation when we were firing off the mortars a few years ago. 2005? 2004?

For me it was a normal working day. No Hols on the 4th down my end of the pond. But I did think about you guys and the festivities. Hope y'all had a good 1.

We threw down a few snappers and popped some poppers. Both somewhat considered illegal fireworks down here at camp.

Very fun all the same :). I was hoping to engage in bottle rocket fights back home but all of my friends were either out of town or not answering their phone :(
