What does this mean?

Hey, icrontic users i was wondering if anyone here could answer this question. OK so in firefox 3.0 when i finish downloading files it says "scanning for viruses" What program does it use to scan for viruses?

The security programs i currently have installed? Or something that is bundled in with the download???
