I have a plan where I only have 200 texts a month and I seem to be out of texts by the second day of the cycle. I never really used text messages until about 3-4 months ago when I met this girl. She's the only one I text and I only text her when she's at work. We text back and forth all day, and she had 8000 texts last month. I've been using Yahoo mail to text ##########@tmomail.net and she usually gets it almost instantly with maybe a minute or two of lag. Now up till recently, I got her replies in my email instantly also but for the past couple of days, it takes the message a long time to go both ways. Sometimes, I'll send her a text at 9 AM and we'll be on the phone at 9 PM and she tells me she got the text I sent in the morning. This is really frustrating and I also get duplicates of a lot of her texts in my email now. So my question is, is there a better way to text her? I need her to be able to reply. Thanks, and I tried Gmail, Hotmail, and textem.com. Gmail has the same problem as Yahoo, while Hotmail never works and textem only works sometimes.

I'm 17 so a new plan isn't really an option till January of 09' and as far as a new girlfriend goes, well let's just say I'm not allowed to look at other girls :rolleyes:. Anyway she understands completely and she doesn't text my phone unless she absolutely needs to but I do like talking to her... There's gotta be a way, I mean it doesn't seem like that big of a problem to convert email to a text.

what i meant was just add more texts to your current plan. Like ATT has 200/1500/unlimited texts. they are like $10-20.

See if you can add a texting package to your current plan. I know I've added stuff to my account mid contract.

Step 1: Both of you get Twitter accounts

Step 2: Follow each other

Step 3: Set up your devices on twitter for SMS

Step 4: To text her phone, you directmessage her using twitter (either website or twhirl or whatever). It'll show up as an SMS on her phone.

Easier.... you can use MSN messenger. You can send her a txt through messenger then when she replies it shows in your window. I've done it a few times and it seemed pretty instant.

Just an idea.

Well MSN messenger didn't work when I tried it earlier. Maybe it's because I used trillian? Anyway, Prime's method is working flawlessly so thanks a lot Prime. :thumbup
