Yay losing copyright on everything small biz owners produce!
I was emailing my Rep about 30 seconds after reading that.
cgsociety.com, a community of artists has a valuable discussion going on about the pros and cons of this bill as well.

It seems like all you need to do is make sure to keep your contact information current and available.
For the coding crowd, this could be as easy as havving a code comment or readme file with a gmail address?

What this does is disarm anyone with an obscure invention from having any legal claim to its use. It places the burden of proof of invention solely on the inventor and undermines the whole prupose of the patent office- which is to give legal claim to an invention that you can obtain sale and royalty rights for.
Take a GFG as to what this is really about.
