I'm looking at two different manufacturers.
I'm familiar with Sapphire. I have purchased and used a Sapphire Radeon 9700 & 9800. No problems with either. They are still running fine to this day.
But, I've never had a Powercolor, nor used one.
Anyone here have any experience with the Powercolor graphics cards?
I can't find any difference in the cards specs, so I'm assuming the only difference is the coolers on the cards and the manufacturers brands.
I was also wondering if either of my PSU's will carry the cards power consumption.
FSP Group 450W PSU- has 2 +12V rails-18Amps.
Also have TTGI Super Flower 450W PSU- has 2 +12V rails-18Amps.
I'll be running the K8T Neo mobo / AMD Athlon 64 3400+ cpu/ 2X1G OCZ LE Platinum Ram/ 2X 36G Raptor HD's/ NEC DVD r/rw and the graphics card.
Any input on this is appreciated as always friends.
Here's links to the cards.
#1
POWERCOLOR Radeon HD 3850 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131090) which is quite a bit less in price.
It seems to have a better gpu cooler on it too.
#2 Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3855381&csid=ITD&body=MAIN#detailspecs) which is more expensive and seems to have a lesser cooler on it.
