dvd rom won't play

i've a advent 6412 note book,and it won't play dvd's,a warning error code89030000/unknown file format appears.help would be much appreciated.

Er.... ok, what software are you trying to use? What Operating System? What DVD Drive? What did you do exactly to get the error?
