VISTA problem (disappearing downloads)

so i started that other thread prematurely. this is a VISTA problem. i've found other people on other forums with the same problem (see http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/6555-downloaded-files-disappear-actually-never-appear-3.html

basically the program or file downloads to 100%, then nothing happens. or you click RUN, and same story.

any help?

Sounds like an IE problem rather than a vista problem.. Try Mozilla, don't save it to the regular place, just save it to desktop.
