Well, it's seems there's been a spate of Xmas-related avatars appearing lately.

How about some sort of Christmas Competition to see who can alter their normal Avatar to be the best Christmassy one??

If the background is transparent in Photoshop itself (white and grey blocks) then just use "File >> Save for web" and tick the transparency box.

So when I said "hard" I really meant "pain in the ass" since my avatar didn't previously have either green OR red in the color palette, and I couldn't find anyplace in Paint to add colors to the palette, or change the palette or increase color depth of the picture. Oh how I miss Paint Shop Pro 8 since my 60 day evaluation period expired...

You need to split up the frames with an animation program, edit each frame, and then put it back together. I used AnimationShop and Paint.
