Which monitor to buy?

I have been in the market for a new monitor for some time and have decided to go with a Samsung 24' LCD.

I am looking at 2 models and would appreciate some feedback as to what you would consider the best bang for buck.

I love the look of the T240 but also prefer the features of the 2493HM. The 2493 is retailing at about 20% more than the T240. Newegg hasn't given the 2493 good reviews so I'm a bit wary of which one to go for. Any feedback would be appreciated.

So the difference is the 2493HM offers higher brightness and greater contrast at a 20 percent premium plus it has a more adjustable base? If you can swing it, I'd go for it. It has 112 Newegg reviews and 85 percent of them are 4s and 5s with most of the niggling complaints being about the monitor's controls. Doesn't seem bad to me.
