OK, so im posting this for my friend because there having this problem plus internet problems:
Laptop Model: hp pavilion ze4900
designed for Windows XP
something to do with an intel celeron...
Edit: It does not give me the options to start in "Safe Mode" or "Last Known Good Configuration". My desktop did, but not my laptop.
When I turn it on it acts completely normal. It brings up the hp screen and says:
press esc to change boot order
press f10 to enter SETUP, f12 to boot from LAN
After that, the screen just goes dark and it doesn't do anything.
