Hello,
I was thinking of buying a new graphics card. I currently have a GeForce 6150 LE, but it isn't giving me the best graphics.
My price range is between $200-$300. I'm looking for one that has an HDMI, DVI and either VGA or S-video connection with it. Preferably S-video even though the quality won't be too good. I f you have any suggestions, please tell.

Try our Marketplace (http://icrontic.pgpartner.com/). It lets you set criteria such as interface, price range, etc.

Getting s-video off a modern card is a chore Bob. Not many companies are including it as an option. What are you wanting to do with the card?

Tom's has pagens of benchmarks. select your game, resolution and settings (AA) and then see how cards rank.

Buddy J; I was planning on hooking up my computer to the new TV we are planning on getting. The new TV will definitely have a HDMI and DVI input so that I could transfer the best quality. However, my parents were thinking that if i was going to buy a graphic card to connect to a TV, it should also be able to connect to our old TV. (Just in case we decide to re-position everything). Sadly, our old TV only has a S-video connection, so i'm looking for a graphic card with a S-video output.
OK. After looking at the Icrontic Marketplace and the cards on the website that edcentric told me, I think that the best graphic cards are the: MSI GeForce 9800GTX Plus Video Card,

or the <label for="prod-1">Nvidia 8800 GT OC SLI</label>

Please tell me what you guys think of each.
Thanks
Bob
If you can run SLI, it's about 2-3x faster than a 9800GTX+. The GTX+ is more or less slower than the 8800 GT by itself. :)

If all you want is HD playback on a TV, you don't need an uber card for it. The ATI Radeon HD 4670 (http://www.guru3d.com/article/ati-radeon-hd-4670-review/) will do all the TV playback stuff you want. It's not for hardcore gaming, but it'll do BluRay and HD-DVD and all that without a hitch, all while consuming very little power.

I'm sorry for saying this, but my mobo cannot run SLI. I guess that I wasn't paying too much attention to my motherboard when I chose that card.:shakehead

Buddy J, i was searching for more specific features of the ATI Radeon HD 4670, however the websites seem to change the outputs that the card holds.
For example, this is the website you told me: http://www.guru3d.com/article/ati-radeon-hd-4670-review/
It shows only one DVI output, and I believe 2 HDMI outputs, while this website:
http://hothardware.com/articles/ATI-Radeon-HD-4670-Redefining-The-Mainstream/
shows that it has 2 DVI output connections, and 1 S-video connection. Could you please clarify the connections that it has? It would be greatly appreciated.
So far, i think that the MSI GeForce 9800GTX Plus
http://icrontic.pgpartner.com/search...st=product_tab (http://icrontic.pgpartner.com/search_techspecs_full.php/masterid=86987283/st=product_tab)
is the graphic card that I'm going to choose, because the Radeon 4870, is much more expensive. However, I'm still looking for other suggestions that you guys might have.
Thanks
Bob
