My 9600xt just arrived (woot), and while removing the hsf, I noticed that there were some dip switches on the card. Anyone know what they do?

No idea. I do know, however, that that stock heatsink has gotta go. :D

it's the super secret switches that turn it into a radeon 16000 pro xt XP extended edition DDR2 ultra mega super PRO card.

I remember the Gainward GeForce3 TI200s that had the dipswitch on them that turned them into the equivalent Quadro card. ;D

I am surprised how unflashy the stock 9600XT heatsink and fan are. It seems they put more looks into it like they did the 9800XT. As for the dipswitch, I dont recall seeing any on my 9800XT, maybe its for the 9600's only?

It's probably to switch between NTSC and Pal on the TV-Out.
