MadShrimps reviews the DFI X48-T3RS motherboard (http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&number=1&artpage=3669&articID=865). It's both rewarding and frustrating.<br /><br />Original Post (http://icrontic.com/ticker/dfi-x48-t3rs-motherboard)

What is with this trend? This seems like yet another board that will be "fantastic" a year from now after 22 BIOS revisions. Are they starting from scratch every time? My ASUS M2N32 SLI Deluxe took over 12 bios revisions just to get stable. Will this board be the same?

This trend is worse than the software industry - release NAO, patch later. :shakehead

I don't think it's that as much as this board has an AMAZING bios that allows/requires extensive fine tuning to get it to work. It's capable of great overclocks, but it takes patience and actual effort to get them. Think of it a a TRUE; you gotta <strike>burn the rope</strike> lap the base. Or think of it as DE shaving; it takes much more effort but the control and results can be amazing.
