View Full Version : O.J. gets upto 33 years in the big house..
Without getting on too big a soap box, I'll just say it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,462565,00.html)....

He obviously meant with other football players since you know they can't obey the law.

Same thing.

He's ruined the letters OJ for all the lovers of orange juice who don't want to say the words and instead abbreviate. That's prison-worthy enough.

I think it's part of the great circle of life....aka Karma. OJ was lionized at Southern Cal. He would walk on campus and get mobbed by fans and admirers from his college and professional days. All of that glory went to his head. His famous temper and sense of entitlement as a celebrity finally caught up to him. Maybe the decade in jail will teach him humility...

I can't believe I have to explain this, but please understand that Nomad is being a troll and only wants your shocked reactions to his sarcastic racial slur. He's not really a racist. He just likes to stir the pot.

If the decade doesn't, perhaps Bubba will.

I don't see any slurs. It's a statement of fact that most people in jail are black. While you interpreted Nomad's commentary one way, it could just as easily be interpreted as that of someone who is fed up with inequality in our society. That was the point, right? It's an evocative statement, but not a racist one or even an opinionated one.
He's gonna be old when he gets out! Right now he is already 61.
He'll be pushing 70 about the time he gets out.
lol @ prime's explanation.
This one...

hmmmmw
Hes a scumbag murdering criminal piece of trash that has worked the system hard and literally gotten away with murder. Now the other shoe drops and he gets what he so richly deserves. 'Bout damn time.
Though his lawyer is, as usual, very sharp and has an excellent case for an appeal.

Oh come on! Nomad's not that bad!;D
lol
I think his appeal case is hollow. They already threw out a ton of evidence during the trial that was considered controversial. OJ's lawyer is just blowing smoke up the collective butt of America.
I wonder if the prisoners will regard him as a hero for escaping jail once or will want to kick his ass. *Reads the Globe for OJ prison updates*

I think making the argument that after the 'Trial of the Century' he had no real shot at a fair trial is a good one. I could sit there and listen to the evidence and make an unbiased opinion but as a cop they would never give me the opportunity. A lot of people can't set stuff like that trial aside.
Juries are effing retarded...trust me on this. They almost always disregard their instructions...which are to listen to the evidence and if the elements of the crime are met they are to convict. Instead they let their opinions into the equation and if they think the nice man deserves more or less jail time than he's likely to get they alter their findings irrespective of whether or not the case has actually been proven.
I'm usually irked by the 'well your proved the case but we don't think he should go to jail for 30 years so...not guilty' but the opposite is also true. He's not exactly a household name these days and I wouldn't put it past a jury to nail him to the wall even if the case against him was weak. Doesn't mean I don't think he did it, this time or the last, I do think his lawyer has good grounds for an appeal though.
