Paintball Marker - Tippman 98 Custom Platinum with ACT
Robot Chicken DVDs
The "Pi," "Schrodingers Cat," and "There's no place like 127.0.0.1" shirts from Think Geek
$25 VISA Gift Card
Nice Warm Fleece blanket with GIR on it
$35 Gift Card to Gamestop - Bought L4D with that. :)
I got:
1. Sapphire / Radeon HD 3850 AGP graphics card, brand new from Newegg.
2. 2 GB kit (2 X 1 GB) of Kingston ValueRAM DDR PC3200, bringing me to 2.5 GB total RAM.
3. Seagate FreeAgent external USB hard drive for backup storage, 500 GB.
4. Did a full reformat / reload of XP Home SP3 on my PC's boot drive, and I'm finally going to try Firefox 3. I had to download the FirefoXP addon to make it look as much like IE6 as possible.
It'll be stressful, but I'll try to give Firefox a fair chance to impress me.
Paintball Marker - Tippman 98 Custom Platinum with ACT
I had a 98 custom. Those markers are beastly, and so intimidating because they're loud as ****. I used to play paintball once a week when I was in high school and through freshman year of college. Once you get competitive it just costs so much money which isn't easy to come by while you're in high school, let alone college. I must have dropped close to $800 on my last marker alone with all the upgrades and stuff. If you ever feel the need to upgrade your 98 custom the flatline barrel is f'ing sweet. The response trigger is one hell of an upgrade too, but then you'll need an auto loading hopper because you can get like 20+ bps out. Sorry for the paragraph, I miss playing paintball and felt the need to go on about it.
Well, anyway, I got a North Face Apex jacket, a whole bunch of Polo clothing (no, not the sport), cologne, and some cash.

Yeah, I'm going to install a double trigger, drop-forward and J&J 14" ceramic barrel next. After that I'm looking at the response trigger and electronic hopper.
I don't want to put *too* much money into it, because I'm not crazy into it yet. Even so, I'd rather buy a better marker and than drop a lot of money on upgrades for this one.
And, yes, it is freakin' loud. Haha. I was shooting it out my back door the other day. I stopped for fear of someone calling the cops. Heh.

My mom surprised the heck out of me with this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Walt-Disney-Animation-Studios-Archive/dp/1423107233/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1230313888&sr=8-1
It's frigging beautiful, I'm so glad she got it.
I also got a Magellan GPS unit for my truck, a scarf, gloves, new belt, pants... losing weight is expensive so I was very glad to get clothes. Also Dark Knight and Kung Fu Panda, and CDs from Beirut and Wolf Parade. My dad gave me an antique brownie camera with a still functioning flash bulb. Very awesome.

The kids are pretty excited about the books. Perry's already 30 pages deep in Hatchet. The thing is, he already has a hatchet and goes off into the woods with his brother for hours, so I imagine this book will just fuel the fire for him... THANKS MATT :p
I read The Giver in one "session". What a great book!
I received a sweet wrench and pliers set that I had been needing. Also an authentic NHL Ottawa Senators Black Jersey (the exact same as what the players wear), I love it.
My Christmas present to Line and I was a 40" Sony Bravia 1080p HD LCD that I waited in line to get for 3 hours this morning. After it all, very happy indeed. Picture is tight and looks amazing with the PS3 hooked up. What a difference from the clunky 24' Toshiba we've been using for years. I also rented a Blu-ray disk to watch on it later to really test it out.
Oh yeah, I picked an Iphone to give to Line as well as 2 months of charges paid. Pisses me off though, she loves it so much she won't let me touch it. :shakehead

Not to rain on your parade magic, but for proper stereo imaging (or surround in your case) those left and right speakers need to be a considerable distance apart. I'd imagine right now they are mushing together for the most part. I forget the number but it is a ratio of the listening distance. As an example I have my 2.1's at extreme opposite ends of my desk pointed towards me and the stereo imaging is very good at a normal seating distance. If I sit back or lay on my bed it blends together though. You can test for stereo imaging easily with two tones. One pink noise, both channels in phase. And the other pink noise, right out of phase 180 degrees from left. In the first one the sound should appear to be coming from right in front of you, and the second it should appear to come from each individual speaker.
Sorry to crap on the thread, just saw that and had to say something.

Dude...Amazing choices on books. My Side of the Mountain was (when I read it) the most epically awesome book ever! Seriously it shows you how he built/made all of his stuff in the wilderness. And I have always wanted a falcon ever since, Frightful was such a sweet hunter.
You can't miss with Gary Paulsen, and the others are simply classics that should be read by all people.
I ended up with a good haul with Company of Heroes (I already own but will return for something else) a box half full of magic cards from my brother and lots of gift cards and Gluten free cookies. Mmm... cookies.
