0.o I hate firefox now. Help?

I've had this problem for months and it royally sucks. Whenever I download ANYTHING in firefox, it downloads as a .efw but the real problem is it only chooses to open with HIPS email attachment something or other. How the hell do I get around is? I tried changing the files to .exe or .zip but they always get corrupt.

I've heard that before but the problem is when Im trying to open the file from my desktop.. so I figured changing browsers won't do anything.

Clear your download history and temporarily disable whatever software firewall you may be running. Try downloading a few files and let us know how it goes.

EDIT: Just saw your thread (http://icrontic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80439) over in the SVR forum, is this the same PC? We may want to get that issue cleared up before we move forward here.
