"Contrary to popular belief, the technical term for sea kitten offspring is "baby sea kitties," not "caviar." "

Seriously I don't know what to say to this. Just wow.

My Sea Kitten needs a bowl of water and floaties.

the big ones—well, the big ones will bite your face off if Jaws is anything to go by.

Why should we save something that's trying to bite our faces off?

"Many sea kittens build nests where they can raise their baby sea kitties, and others collect small rocks off the sea floor to make widdle hiding pwaces where they can rest."

Seriously?

"widdle hiding pwaces"?

:tim:

I should mention I like to hook baby sea kittens through the eyes while partially asphyxiating them before using their dying corpses to attract larger sea cats, who then try to cannibalize the sea kitten. This is all with the hopes of catching a large sea cat so I can drag it to a boat and gaff it in the face.

This is some righteously bogus shit.

Surely not! Don't they know how lettuce screams as you rip it to shreds and carrots cry when you jerk them out of the ground?!

I goal is to get them all to believe that vegetables, tofu, nuts, and whatever else they eat has feelings too.

Then they'll all stop eating everything and die....

just show them some vegie tales (http://bigidea.com/index.aspx) shows. That'll convince them.

So I'm to understand that Fish are not called sea kittens? Then I'm supposed to take this knowledge and ask some guy "to stop promoting the hunting of sea kittens (otherwise known as "fishing")."

I think I see their angle here but they don't realize I'd eat a dog or cat if I hungry and it was socially acceptable.

Maybe Peta should stick with a campaign that encourages moderation and not abstinence.

primesuspect

Maybe PETA should DIAF. This is a complete waste of time, to be sure... But in the bigger picture, this actually makes them look like a bunch of idiots and probably hurts their cause more than they realize.

Winfrey

I wish that PETA money from charities could be re-routed to I don't know, heart disease research or something. Seriously, I can't believe the money celebs rake in for these guys and this is how it ends up spent.

As much as I appreciate the sentiment, Pete -- and I do -- I am befuddled by your use of 'gaff'. As someone who is HIP to the URBAN LINGO, I regret to inform you that 'gaff' means 'to steal'. It is most definitely a verb, but the proper usage would be, "Yo, I just gaffed me some ass from Pete's woman!" or "Yo, I just gaffed dis Rol off dat chump, fo' sho."

I'm not sure how you gaff a face, unless you plan on wearing a sea kittie face all Hannibal style.

Which would be pretty cool, come to think of it.

;D
