In a few months we'll have high quality X58 boards for $150, and not just from Gigabyte. It always happens - the latest greatest new thing mellows and the competition becomes willing to build for less to capture a segment of the market. So many, including me, are pining for upgrades cores but aren't willing to pay the new tech entry price. Just be patient. For me, six months to one year old is the sweet spot.
