Ok so I have some dvd rips sitting on my hard drive that I'd like to convert and compress into to xVid / h(x).264. I've tried handbrake but can't get it to work and I don't understand why these applications have to be so damned complicated to run.
I'm a pretty computer savvy guy and if I'm having trouble getting a simple dvd rip transcoded into a single file then I think we have usability issues. Can someone point me to an application or a how-to that doesn't require a graduate degree in computer science to run?
