Are they any good? I think ULTRA is generic, but I might be wrong. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=3539&SRCCODE=WEM615

Never heard of it. What they say about it makes it LOOK good, and it's not absurdly inexpensive for a 500w PS... you'd have to try it and see.

It seems like Tigerdirect uses alot of ULTRA psus in their cases. I dont think they have any reviews on their site though. Hmm

If you go look at Ultra memory on TigerDirect, then hit the warranty link, it takes you to the Ultra co. website (or this is how I found it a while back). Nobody that I've every been able to find over several websites has tried any Ultra products, I'm not going to be the first but I am very curious as their pricing is good *if* the products work as advertised.

Um, Tiger\SystemMax(Tiger IS owned by SystemMax and is their bulk closeout of things SysemMax does not want to use, often) gets some of the cheapest things they can use, things like PCChips motherboards, PSUs that are private labelled for them and run barely what they stick in as stock, etc. Name brand stuff is often OEM, bottom line by name brand mfr, adn what is not I typically find elsewhere for less unless they made a big mess in buying and got something that just does not sell-- usually it is cuz the thing that will not sell has a flaw users found out about. They are on my Do Not Buy list. I do get their catalog, but look at it to understand what to avoid.

For $10 more you can get an Antec Tru-Blue 480w PSU from newegg and from what I'm given to understand about TigerDirect, RMA's to newegg are a lot less painful.
