I'd like to see where this takes the two companies in terms of future co-operative projects.
I really like Sun. They have a bunch of cool technology most consumer's don't even know about. I was lucky enough to get to tour their HQ about 4 years back and was totally blown away with the technology they were developing - and already using in house. Now that they MySQL, well I like them even more. Despite their financial difficulties, even more so now, they were always on my 'companies to watch' list.
I think if IBM snatches them up, that might be the infusion they need to move on to bigger and better things.

People should really watch this. If this actually happens, the enterprise market will change.

This is making me uncomfortable. Maybe they could just hold hands?
IBM eyeing Sun for buyout.
Cisco moving into the mainframe market.
Sun moving into the cloud.
What the hell is going on here? MASS HYSTERIA.

Welcome to what happens when corporations start seeing their profits slip.
True that, Dan. It's obvious desperation. All of these companies are like Ents emerging from millennial slumbers.
