help me get back the win xp theme

i have been playing around with some new themes and docks, but have alsow ran into some weird problems:
1. the color of the text im typing on msn is different form the color of the same text when i hit enter (blue changes into black)
2. my power point presentations are...... the color scheme differs in the process of making the presentation from the finished product, (colors of backgrounds and text dont mach when i run the slide show.... have no idea how else to describe it...

Help me plz :/

It's Sunday, and you gave it exactly 66 minutes for someone to answer. Might want to have a little patience there, bud.

Personally, I'd start off by removing all the themes and seeing how that works out, but I've never really been of the theming variety.

you should be able to take care of your MSN issue through that program's settings. Same for powerpoint. Try changing the font options in both programs.

Sry for the impatience, but it was my first post on this forum, and just wanted to be sure others can read it.... (stupid me). Thx for the suggestions but it's still not working properly.... oh well, not the first "format c:" don't think it's the last one .

From where did you uninstall the new themes? Did you also try "Add and Remove Programs" in Control Panel?

Download and run CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/), especially the "Cleaner" function. It's an excellent program that can often remove junk in the registry that program uninstalls leave behind. BTW, the themes and wallpapers freebies are notorious for being crap-laden, both in malware and poor coding. Maybe you did have the good stuff, I don't know.
