Half Life 2 Problems

Hi There,

I have Half Life 2, Lost Coast and today I bought Episode 1. I have installed episode one and now when I try and run any half life I am getting an Engine Error,

Platform Error: Module failed to initialise

Now none of my HLs work! Does anyone have any ideas

Im off to update my graphics drivers

From Steam, if you have their version:

Disable Steam Community



Load Steam
Go to File > Settings > In-game tab
Uncheck "Enable Steam Community In-Game"
Click OK
Run the game and test the issue


Change the language for Steam
