A crisis with Crysis

Recently when I try to play Crysis my mouse will not cross the midpoint of the screen, and it also will not work when I pull up menus. This almost makes the game unplayable. I've tried reinstalling the game and that hasn't fixed anything. Has anyone else had this problem? And are there any solutions?

It's not really a solution but whenever I start the game through my desktop icon I don't have any problems. I still have the problem if I launch the game by inserting the DVD.
