Got a 400 that seems like it has been running forever, are some quicker than others? Or do I need to buy more computer equipment! :( LOL!

P4 -2.4 OC'd to 2.66

512mb of DDR 2700

Thanks

Sounds like a tinker, they are 400 step rather than 100 step so they take forever :(

300 doesnt really team me anything. The best way to identify WUs is to know the protein name. Its in a format like pXXX or pXXXX where X is a number.

Dude, of course your machine is too slow. Everyone needs an excuse to upgrade. But that isn't your problem. On the gromac units using core 78 and SSE instructions there isn't a great difference between XPs and P4s.
But on the Tinker units using core 65 there is a big difference. The XPs better math processor lets it run them faster.
My last two wus that I have gotten are both tinkers. This could be due to the server workload or it could be due to the demands of the research project.
Don't worry, this too shall pass.

RADA, look for 7-8 min per tinker frame in log.... If twice that, machine utterly hates tinkers. Gromacs should yield 5X faster on a P4 of your speed, as the tinkers are 4 frames per percent but use different calcs than Gromacs, as said above. BUT, my Barton and P4 were running same Tinker project at same rate last night....

My XP (2083 MHz actual) is running Tinkers at 2:09/frame, 8:38/ percent

OOPs, DID mean percent, not frame.... So, frames at about 2-2.5 min each.... But P4s HATE tinkers....
