QuakeCon '09

QuakeCon is coming up quickly, August 13-16 (http://www.quakecon.org/), at the Gaylord in Dallas, TX. I am going to make it this year and wondering if anyone else is showing up. I live in the area and would be willing to do some work if people need help with certain things.

Got myself a ticket the day registration opened up. I'll be heading that way with 2 of my buddies from South Texas.

I was pretty happy to hear they switched venues to the Gaylord Texas Hotel. I've been to 3 CPL events there and the venue is about as good as it gets.

Should be a blast, just gotta get my vacation time and lodging sorted out. Might not end up going until the 14th due to work, but I'll see.

So do to events I am apparently the only one going from Icrontic, I am driving over today after lunch! The weekend off in a massive hotel full of gamers, shenz will be incurred.

ya forgot to switch memory cards on the camera so no real pics of my own, will link my friends later on. I went through BYOC at 3 AM Friday. Trying to stay awake for the night, finally got everything set up and running. Trying to hook up with a twitter friend. Haven't found any really great cases or mods, a few interesting ones but nothing that really stands out. Sadly only one Moutian Mod dual case and a few frag boxes. So much water cooling to fill my thirst for a year. A guy is two tables away running dry ice and there are only a few running phase change currently. Dude getting interviewed for his lego case, not really orignal case any more since google founder made a printer out of one. Its 4:30 am right now and steam kicked all of us offline until we leave this place. Saw a new shelby get beat on 121 by a Ferrairi. Trying to spread the Icrontic name where I can!
