View Full Version : How Did I Miss My Milestones??????

So there I was checking my pitiful production and thought hold on I passed 2K awhile ago but I didn't remember seeing a milestone anouncement.
You cheeky gits, here I am crunching away in my own sweet time and yet it goes unrecognised. Then I thought to have a look in the Milestones thread and there they were two threads announcing my small achievements.
How big a dick did I feel?? People had even posted congrats messages & I didn't even bother to reply, how rude.
Oh well, I should have known better that the team would be on the case, so to all who posted in those threads. THANK YOU. :)

You'll have to wait for 5k now.
That will teach you.

4k will be coming around first.

Well I'm gonna have a crack at installing the console clients rather than graphical ones so that I can run those optimisations so that I fold faster.
That should get me to 4K a little quicker.

You can run the -advmethods and the -forcesse from the graphical client. (There is a space before the "-" in each). Just add it to the shortcut in your startup folder. The console is nice in some ways, but isn't absolutely necessary.

Hi Prof,
I've added the flags on both machines using the graphical client but just to check, should'nt it read "-forceasm" in your post rather than "forcesse" cos the "-forcesse" just gives me an error & details of wot flags are allowed. One machine runs ver. 4, the other 3.24.

I had the same reaction to the -forcesse tag "error", but it is just a warning, not an actual error.
Note: Unless you are using the latest graphical client (4.00) you need to use -forceSSE

Prof, I'm confused now, the machine running graphical client 4.00 runs -forceasm fine (didn't try -forcesse).
When I tried -forcesse on client 3.24 I got that "error" I clicked on ok and & then folding quit.
What do I do now??
-ForceSSE isn't a valid flag for 3.24 clients.
Only v4.0 clients and on may use the -ForceSSE flag.
I use -service -forceSSE -advmethods -forceasm
