It's that time of year again for Lynx and I to take a blasting-good (albeit, very short) road trip to Bloomington, IN. Why Bloomington, you say?
I in response say, "Because Sunset Rubdown is playing in Bloomington."
"Who's Sunset Rubdown," you say?
"Only one of the best bands you've never heard of," says I.
Here's the skinny. Last year Lynx and I saw Sunset Rubdown in Bloomington, and this year we're doing it again. Only this time we're gonna cut out the whole driving back absurdely late at night/early in the morning and almost dying from falling asleep on the road bit, and instead crash at a friends (which in retrospect makes more sense, much more). I'm informing you my dear Icrontians for two reasons.
Firstly, I'm bored and I'm at work.
Secondly, because I admire Sunset Rubdown so much (btw, Spencer Krug is the main compositional madman behind the music) that I want to make as many people aware of them as possible. This is purely for selfish reasons; I want them to become large enough to be able to continue making music full-time, or at least until I die. So, anyway, check them out?
"Stadiums and Shrines II" off the album Shut Up, I'm Dreaming of Places Where Lovers Have Wings
(Ignore the video on this first one. It was the only album version of the song I could find, the rest were live.)
